Coloured asphalt is the best solution for pavements that have special aesthetic as well as functional requirements. In its plants, Vitali S.p.A. SB produces coloured permeable asphalt useful for the construction of cycle paths, speed bumps and small urban paving, as well as villas and courtyards.
Certain coloured pigments are added to the bituminous conglomerate to obtain a customised, permeable, high-quality asphalt, available in different colours and capable of maintaining a long-lasting colour over time. Coloured asphalt solutions are ideal for creating the surface layer of the pavement, with the absolute guarantee of an aesthetically pleasing result and low environmental impact.

This particular product consists of a mixture of crushed stone, grit (of varying types depending on the desired colour), sand, mineral additive (filler) and colouring pigments, mixed together while hot with a transparent binder.
Coloured asphalt has the same characteristics as standard bituminous conglomerate: it is economical, waterproof and easy to lay. With its various colours, coloured asphalt is mainly used for:
- car parks and local roads with low vehicular flow;
- pedestrian areas, pavements, parks and cycle paths;
- pavements located within green areas;
- roundabouts;
- any other situation where a customised and environmentally friendly floor covering is required.
