For the laying of Splittmastix wear layers, Vitali Group uses vibrofinishing machines equipped with self-levelling mechanisms, which leave a perfectly shaped final layer.

The Splittmastix wear layer consists of: aggregates (crushed stone, small stones, gravel, etc.) which represent the solid part of the conglomerate; binder, consisting mainly of modified bitumen; additives (natural fibres such as cellulose, glass or acrylic fibres) which are natural or artificial and improve the performance of the bituminous conglomerate.
Thanks to its special composition, Splittmastix wear layers ensure:
- maximum resistance to deformation and rutting
- reduced noise level, even on the busiest roads
- greater road surface grip, even on wet surfaces
- reduced ageing of the binder due to the very low void content of the mixtures
