Traditional conglomerates

Introduction

Traditional
bituminous conglomerates

Traditional bituminous conglomerates are materials composed mainly of two elements: bituminous binder and mineral aggregates from crushing (gravel, sand and filler). They are used by Vitali S.p.A. SB for the construction of road pavements and infrastructure subject to vehicular passage of any kind (e.g. roads, airport runways, service areas).

Traditional conglomerates are divided into three layers:

  • Bituminous conglomerate base, which forms the lower layer of road pavement
  • Bituminous conglomerate binder, which forms the intermediate layer between the two levels
  • Bituminous conglomerate wearing course, which forms the surface layer directly in contact with vehicle traffic.

Advantages

Versatile materials
for infrastructure

The selection of the best raw materials, decades of production experience and quality control conducted by in-house laboratories allow Vitali S.p.A. SB to produce high quality traditional conglomerates, which provide some important advantages:

  • flexibility, as traditional conglomerates meet different construction and design needs
  • good strength and durability
  • extremely good value for money, with completely affordable prices
