Photovoltaic energy serving the community
The plant has a total capacity of 1,999.2 kWp and covers an area of approximately 20,000 square metres. It consists of almost 2,900 high-efficiency solar panels, mounted on structures with a single-axis solar tracking system, which maximises energy production by following the movement of the sun. Thanks to this technology, the plant is able to produce over 3,500 MWh of electricity per year. This production covers a significant part of the energy needs of the Caponago site, which in 2024 consumed around 2.4 million kWh. This is an important milestone for an area characterised by high production activity, where business continuity and efficient resource management are a priority. The intervention is part of a broader strategy aimed at reducing emissions, optimising the use of resources and contributing to the energy transition, with a concrete, ethical and responsible approach. The installation of the photovoltaic system confirms the Vitali Group’s desire to be an active part of change, demonstrating that even in the construction and infrastructure sector it is possible to combine efficiency, innovation and respect for the environment.
