Ponte di Lenna

High-performance materials serving the local area

The Vitali Group has built a new bridge over the river Brembo, downstream of the existing railway viaduct.

It is a bridge without intermediate supports in the riverbed of the river Brembo, with upper arch scheme and suspended deck consisting of a three-dimensional composite structure (steel-concrete), with steel trellis and concrete slab, relative shoulders in c.a. with special works of foundation. In addition to the street lighting, night lighting arrangements for the new bridge have been made. The other interventions in this work were: the construction of a new road site and the construction of supporting walls made of reinforced cement conglomerate covered with local stone; the construction of networks for collecting and disposing of rainwater and a public lighting system; the construction of crossing points close to the bridge; with the connection of the pre-existing road to the new road route and the realization of box overpass for maintaining the secondary road in existence.
