Calusco d’Adda
Introduction
Calusco mining hub:
a model of circular economy
The Calusco d’Adda mining hub covers an area of approximately 300,000 square metres and involves the municipalities of Medolago and Solza. The aggregates produced by the plant are screenings, sand, crushed stone and gravel, mainly intended for the production of bituminous conglomerates, concretes and concrete products.
As with the other production sites, the one in Calusco d’Adda also follows the philosophy of the circular economy: the asphalts, produced with state-of-the-art machinery, are made from materials recovered from demolition and construction sites. The quarry’s activities are characterised by a continuous commitment to protecting all resources, raw materials, the environment and the surrounding community.
