Caponago

At the Caponago (MI) mining site aggregates are extracted and processed into the required different shapes by means of specialised plants and equipment designed to reduce the acoustic and visual impact on the surrounding areas. In addition, the vegetation layer uncovered by the mining activity was accumulated on the quarry perimeter, optimising environmental recovery and masking the area as a dust and noise barrier.

Alongside mining operations, which began in 2005, the plant also deals with the environmental restoration of the quarry using excavated earth and rock in compliance with industry regulations (Ministerial Decree 152/2006), with the aim of completely filling the quarry to restore the area in question to agricultural use.
