Safe mechanical demolition, in just one night
Spectacular demolition on the night of 13 and 14 December 2014, as part of the construction of the TEEM - (Tangenziale Est Esterna di Milano), of the motorway overpass between Omate and Caponago on which the provincial 125 skips the A4 highway.
The demolition was completed on a night during which the A4 motorway was closed to traffic in the section between the tollbooths of Cambiago and Agrate. Eight demolition machines and a 400-tonne crane were used. Initially they entered it proceeded with the mechanical demolition: while four demolition machines, equipped with a pneumatic hammer, demolivano the bridge plate, the other four, equipped with pliers and hydraulic crushers, removed the iron of the armor. At the end of this phase, the crane was used to place the bridge beams on the ground. During all the work, a tarp was placed to prevent debris from falling onto the road surface.
