SP14 “Rivoltana” e variante di Liscate

Infrastructure work in a complex area

The requalification of the Rivoltana is a particularly complex work that fits into a very urbanized territory, particularly rich in constraints to the surroundings (such as buildings, urban plans for industrial expansion, elements of environmental value, etc.) in which the human presence has caused substantial changes to the original environment with the result of being located in a heavily built and densely populated.

The project track starts exactly north of the Milan hydrosphere on the current site of the SP 14 “Rivoltana”, and provides for a section of resectioning of the current road track. The stretch of requalification develops a little more to the North-East of the intersection with the roundabout at the entrance to the idroscalo, up to the town of Liscate for a total of 6.7 km. The current roadworthiness is represented by a two-lane axle per direction of travel partly on separate carriageways partly on single carriageway. The current intersections are all level except for that in correspondence with the road access to the S.Felice district where there is a roundabout on two levels.
