Environment
Philosophy
We have
only one planet
We know the impact of our work and are sensitive to the increasingly urgent issues of safeguarding the planet. We know that taking care of the places and those who inhabit them means creating architecture of and for the environment, which is also intended as respect for the local situation and constantly listening to the needs of territories and communities.
Therefore, we promote respect for and protection of the environment throughout our value chain, involving employees, stakeholders and shareholders in preserving the richness of the ecosystem and mitigating the effects of climate change.

We actively support the urgent need to protect the planet.
Commitment
Innovation is synonymous with sustainability
Off-site green offsets
To balance the impact of new buildings, new infrastructures and production facilities, Vitali Group works alongside local administrations and energy-intensive businesses to compensate or neutralise their CO2 emissions through off-site compensation measures such as:
- extension of the fifth-generation energy network
- creation of Renewable Energy Communities
- Power Purchase Agreement (PPA)
- reforestation support programmes
Recovery of bituminous conglomerate
We have developed a management model that allows waste materials from demolition to be processed and reused as sub-foundation and filling material, or as raw material for the manufacture of concretes and asphalts.
Our fixed and mobile recovery plants allow us to manage the entire recycling cycle directly on site, recovering over 90% of waste material: a combination of innovation, efficiency and maximum sustainability.
Materials
We promote the on-site production of concrete by installing concrete mixing plants, and the manufacture of castings on site. This allows us to have direct management of production, with positive effects on cost control, process efficiency and impact.
Other good practices implemented to reduce material procurement are:
- identifying solutions, at the design stage, for reducing concrete quantities;
- providing systems for recovering concrete waste during production;
- maximising the reuse of excavated material from the site itself, instead of purchasing new aggregates from quarries;
- using recycled materials compatible with the aggregate material (such as crushed material) to reduce the purchase of new aggregates from quarries.
Energy consumption
We are committed to reducing energy consumption and minimising greenhouse gas emissions. Continuous monitoring of the energy consumption required to run the site’s operational areas has yielded a 9% reduction in overall energy consumption by Vitali Group.
Protecting biodiversity
We preserve protected areas and endangered species, and in general take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect and preserve ecosystems and biodiversity.
We cooperate with suppliers who actively manage their impact on habitats and the environment and carry out surveys to identify relevant plant or animal species for which a specific management and monitoring plan may need to be developed.
At all Vitali Group construction sites:
- we limit the removal of native vegetation to limit impacts on land use, minimising erosion risks and sedimentation problems;
-we guarantee the restoration of vegetation at the end of construction activities;
-we map and mark the vegetation to be preserved;
- we ensure the relocation of animals found within the boundaries of the site to a habitat suitable for them, in areas safe from work but not far from the point of capture and with the same vegetation.
Waste treatment
Through a series of constant checks by specialised professionals, Vitali Group S.p.A. SB carefully monitors and manages the entire waste treatment process, from construction site production and temporary storage management to final disposal.
The management of waste produced on the construction site is regulated by special procedures in compliance with current environmental regulations. The treatment of recyclable materials (End of Waste) is entrusted to codified procedures, aimed at the recycling of materials from demolition or excavation operations and the traceability of the recycled aggregates obtained.
